It has been a dream of mine for some time to be able to record some of my original songs, plus an old time favorite of my fathers. That dream became a reality this year. Nine boxes of CD's showed up at my door the day before Christmas Eve. I was thrilled to have them in time to give a few away for Christmas to some of my family and friends.
I started on this recording journey (and that is what it has been) in January, recording at a home studio in Western WI. The process entailed much more than I thought and stretched me musically and spritually.
I was able to have the help of some other great musicians that added much more to the life of the songs, than I could do with just my voice and piano. I am pleased with the mix and am so thankful for the help of some talented people!
The songs are more than music of course they are a words, stories, and poems. The songs represent my thoughts as I've walked through life's various trials and joys the last 12 years. Each song has a story and I hope to highlight some of them here on the blog.
It is my hope and prayer that those who listen to my music will be blessed, encouraged and given a larger picture of God.
